VCI paper, VCI plastic sheet, VCI films, VCI bags, VCI carton liners, VCI bubble wrap,
VCI forms etc. are some of the Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) materials that we deal with. VCI papers
and plastic materials are used to protect components that require high shelf life and protection
against corrosion. These have a high VCI chemical carrying capacity and are useful in protecting
components for longer periods and also provide better abrasion resistance compared to thin film
plastics.
Another alternative is metal barrier protection which has an aluminium-coated polyester
with VCI LDPE combination that can be used in applications where a high level of protection is required
and where VCI can protect parts in highly demanding areas. Aluminum Barrier and Metal Barrier Films
have Water Vapor Transmission Rates of 0.1% compared to normal LDPE.
